What kind of puncture do you have?
Tell us which of these you have when you call. If the tyre is already flat, don't drive on it to reach a garage. We'll come to you.
Nail or screw in the tyre
A nail or screw in the central part of the tread can often be repaired. Our fitter checks it where your car is parked.
Slow puncture
If your tyre keeps losing air, the cause is often a small nail, a screw or the valve. We find it, then repair the tyre or fit a new valve.
Tyre gone flat
Driving on a flat tyre can damage it on the inside and rule out a repair. If you're somewhere safe, stay where you are and call us.
Tyre pressure warning light on
A low-pressure warning can come from a puncture or from a faulty TPMS sensor. We check the tyre and its pressure first.
Can your puncture be repaired?
Many punctures can be repaired, but not all of them, and we'll tell you honestly which yours is.
Usually repairable
- The damage is in the central part of the tread
- The hole is no wider than 6 mm
- The tyre hasn't been driven on while flat
- The sidewall and shoulder are undamaged
Needs a new tyre
- Damage to the sidewall or shoulder
- A hole wider than 6 mm, a cut or a tear
- A bulge or exposed cords
- A tyre that has been driven on while flat
- Tread already worn below the legal limit
Repairs are carried out to the British Standard for tyre repairs, BS AU 159. That means taking the tyre off the wheel and checking it inside and out, because some damage can't be seen from the outside. Our fitter also looks at the tread and any earlier repairs before deciding.
Run flat tyres often need replacing after a puncture. Whether one can be repaired depends on the tyre maker's guidance and the damage, and we check this before advising you.
Can't be repaired? We fit a new tyre instead
If your tyre isn't safe to repair, we fit a new one. Tell us your budget on the call and we'll find a tyre for your car or van, from budget to premium. Part worn tyres may be available on request, depending on your size and our stock.
What does a mobile puncture repair cost?
You get a fixed price on the call, before our van sets off, and asking costs nothing. The price depends on:
- Whether your tyre can be repaired or needs replacing
- Your tyre size
- The new tyre you choose, if you need one
- The time of day
- Where you are in Birmingham
One call gets you your price, so you can decide straight away.
Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including bank holidays
Puncture repair at home, at work or at the roadside
We bring the repair to wherever your car or van is in Birmingham, as long as it's safe to work there.
At home or on your driveway
Found a flat tyre in the morning? We sort it on your drive, so there's no garage trip and no waiting room.
At work or in a car park
Spotted the puncture at work? Tell us where the car is parked and we'll deal with it while you carry on with your day.
At the roadside
Stopped by a puncture on the road? We come out once you've reached a safe place. On a motorway or a busy road, get yourself and any passengers away from the traffic and follow Highway Code guidance. If you're stuck in a live lane or can't get to safety, call 999. We never work in a live lane, and if it isn't safe for us to work where your car is, we'll tell you on the call.
How mobile puncture repair works
It takes one call to get started:
Call or WhatsApp with your location, your reg or tyre size, and what has happened to the tyre.
We fix your price and tell you when we'll arrive.
Our fitter comes to you with all the kit.
We take the tyre off the wheel and check it inside and out. If it's safe, we repair it to the British Standard. If not, we fit a new tyre, balance the wheel, set the tyre pressure and torque the wheel nuts to the manufacturer's specification.
If we replace your tyre, we take the old one away.
Other tyre help we provide
A puncture sometimes comes with another problem. We sort these too.
Locking wheel nut removal
Lost or damaged your locking wheel nut key? We remove the locking nut so the wheel can come off for the repair. See locking wheel nut removal.
Run flat tyre fitting
If your run flat tyre can't be repaired, we fit a run flat replacement wherever your car is.
TPMS sensor replacement
If the warning light turns out to be a faulty sensor, we replace it and program it to your car.
Puncture repair across Birmingham
We repair punctures in every area of Birmingham, from the city centre to Sutton Coldfield, and in Solihull. For tyre replacements and our full list of services, see mobile tyre fitting in Birmingham.
Puncture repair questions
Can I still drive on a punctured tyre?
Not if it's flat or going down fast. Even a short drive on a flat tyre can wreck it and harm the wheel, and it can turn a repairable puncture into one that isn't. Stop somewhere safe and call us instead.
Can you repair a slow puncture?
Often, yes. If the cause is a nail or screw in the central part of the tread, or a faulty valve, we can usually fix it.
Can a run flat tyre be repaired?
Sometimes, but often not. It depends on the tyre maker's guidance and the damage. If yours can't be repaired, we can fit a new run flat tyre where your car is.
Do I need to know my tyre size?
No. Your registration is usually enough for us to find the right tyre. If you can read the size on the side of your tyre, send it too and we'll double-check.
How quickly can you get to me?
That depends on where you are in Birmingham. When you call, we give you an arrival time for your location.
Can you come at night or on a bank holiday?
Yes. We repair punctures 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays.
Got a puncture right now?
Call or WhatsApp us with your location. We'll give you your price and an arrival time on the call, whatever the hour.
